Rescue Diver

Rescue Diver 1The PADI Rescue Diver program develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) certification is also a prerequisite for all PADI leadership programs.

    • Minimum Age:   15 (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Divers). Contact Instructors for more information.

    • Prerequisites:  PADI Advanced Open Water Certification or equivalent. Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months.
      The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses meet these requirements.

    • Course Duration:   This course will last a minimum of three days. There are two classroom presentations and two days of diving.

    • Equipment Requirements:  Each student must have a mask, snorkel, fins, booties, weight belt with 10 percent of their body weight in lead, log book and the PADI Open Water Diving Manual. Tanks, Wet Suit, Regulator and Buoyancy Control Device can be rented at your local dive shop.Rescue Diver 2

Cost:  $200.00

Price includes the certification card and Instructor tuition only. All associated diving fees, books, pool fees, park fees, rental gear, etc; will be the responsibility of the student.
All dives must be completed to the Instructor’s satisfaction. The Instructor reserves the right to require further training and can refuse to issue a certification card if the students performance does not meet the course standards.
